Statement of Purpose
The Goal/Mission of Sixty and Better Inc. is to enable older people at the local community level to participate in decisions and activities which affect their health and well-being.
Objectives
- To decrease the social isolation of older people;
- To increase the awareness and skills of older people in a community development context.
- To encourage supportive environments which create a safe, stimulating, satisfying and enjoyable environment for older people.
Philosophies
Hervey Bay Sixty and Better Inc. believes in:
- The right of people to dignity, respect, privacy and confidentiality;
- The right of people to be valued as individuals;
- The right of people to access services on a non-discriminatory basis;
- The right of the community to accountable and responsive services;
- The right of people to make choices in their own lives.
